We Live United We began giving to United Way over 30 years ago. For the past 10 years, we’ve been members of the Tocqueville Society because we want to play a larger role in the positive change United Way is creating in our community. Over the past few years, United Way has listened to what local residents need to succeed and three messages have repeatedly come across: individuals need an education that leads to a steady job, an income that allows people to support themselves and their family, and access to basic necessities that keep them healthy and out of poverty. Education, Income and Basic Needs are the three building blocks we all need to live a good life. United Way has developed its Agenda for Change to make progress in these three areas and help all people thrive. It can’t make progress alone, however. We all share a stake in each other’s success, no matter what our position or our means. We’ve enjoyed rewarding careers in this region and feel an obligation to give back to the community that has been so good to us. United Way and the Tocqueville Society give us that opportunity. We’re Jeff and Stephanie Bergeron, and this is how we Live United. Give. Advocate. Volunteer. Live United.
